Rocky Gap State Park.

Rocky Gap State Park is located circa 6 miles east of Cumberland and 30 miles west of I-70 off of I-68.

The current climbing is located in the woods at the far western end of the lake along the Canyon Overlook trail (click here for a map). The two main walls are a few minutes walk from the car park along the and the top rope set up can be bolts, trees or rock. There are essentially two main cliff bands the Canyon Overlook Cliffs and the North Wall cliff.

The bolts for the Overlook cliff are on the other side of the fence. To get to the base of the cliffs, Turn right at the overlook, and follow a train for approximately 25 meters, turn left at a huge boulder and follow the trail to the base of the cliff.

The North Wall is located to the climber’s right of the Overlook. To access, walk a long the base of the overlook crag, and head down the steep hillside, there is a handling for stability, follow the trail until you arrive at the base of the main wall.
